Good morning ladies and gentlemen, today, I am very honored to share my ideas about the Chinese dream with you. 

Everyone has a dream, a faith to pursue. When we talk about the Chinese dream, it always reminds me of Martin Luther King’s speech: I have a dream. His is an American dream for African Americans. However, as Chinese, we need to develop our own Chinese dream. As you may know, just a few weeks ago, Chinese scientists, Professor Tu YoYo won the Nobel Prize for Physiology/Medicine, exciting the whole country. At almost the same time, two famous actors’ wedding also greatly attracted the public's eye due to its luxury. Which event is more representative of the Chinese dream? Perhaps everyone has his/her own answer. In my opinion, I’d think it is the news of Nobel Prize, because my personal dream is to cure illness. 

However, I think the Chinese dream is not just the wishful thinking of individuals, in fact, to an extent, it’s inseparable with the rise and fall of the nation. Centuries ago, Chinese people had been suffered for a long time. At that time, national independence was our dream. Nowadays, when the world is paying more and more attention to Asia, we move closer to achieving the great rejuvenation. At this time, creating a fairer and more harmonious environment where each person can realize their individual value, has become our dream. This change of the though helps us see that the cultural development is closely tied to personal destiny. I have to say, we are so lucky to live in such a new era where we may be able to fulfill our colorful Chinese dreams. 

As for me, becoming a professional surgeon, helping more people fight off diseases is my Chinese dream. Now, I am studying hard to learn advanced medical methods and technologies, applying them into my field of research, and finding effective treatments for disease. I am on my way to fulfilling my personal dream and I must believe that I can make it. I hope that everyone can achieve their realization of the Chinese dream.
