Section B Reading 2b 教学设计
一、教材分析
本节课的课型设计为阅读话题拓展课。话题关于熊猫，涉及到熊猫的基本信息、濒危原因以及保护措施。在前一课时的听说课中已经接触到关于熊猫的信息，所以学生有一定的背景知识。本节阅读课主要在于激发学生已有图式，丰富信息、拓展话题与打开思维。从保护熊猫这一濒危动物，进而延伸至保护其他濒危野生动物，唤起学生热爱生命热爱动物的热情。
二、学情分析
学生的英语基础普遍较好，能适应全英教学，有一定的自主学习能力，所以本节课基本的阅读任务skimming和scanning作为课前预习任务，用来检测学生的自主学习能力。学生的思维较为活泼，反映比较敏捷，所以在本节阅读课最后设计的创造性活动，旨在检测他们的创新能力。但在平日的教学中，小组合作互动较少，学生比较缺乏小组合作的体验，本节课设计了两个小组合作的活动，目的希望能提高学生的合作意识和学习能力。
三、教学目标
1. 知识目标：
1) 能掌握下列词汇： bamboo, endangered, keeper, awake, excitement, illness, wild, government, walk into, fall over, or so
2) 能掌握以下句型：
① Pandas have become so popular that they are now a symbol of China.
② Adult pandas spend more than 12 hours a day eating about 10 kilos of bamboo.
③ They send people to schools to tell children about the importance of saving these animals.
2. 能力目标
1) 使用“略读”和“寻读”的阅读技巧来提高获取信息的能力；
2) 借助于思维导图来复述文章，提高英语语言能力。
3. 情感态度价值观目标：
1) 了解保护濒危野生动物的重要性；
2) 爱护动物、敬畏生命。
四、教学重难点
1. 教学重点：
1) 使用skimming和scanning的阅读技巧来获取信息；
2) 通过图片，视频的输入介绍，唤起学生对熊猫等濒危野生动物的保护意识。
2. 教学难点：
1) 借助于思维导图来复述文章；
2) 海报设计中涉及的词汇和句型。

六、教学指导思想
1. 在教学中培养和提高学生的阅读能力
通过不过的阅读任务，如匹配段落大意，回答问题等，培养学生使用不同的阅读技巧来提高阅读中处理信息的能力。
2. 德育贯穿课堂
文章介绍熊猫的基本情况、濒危原因以及保护措施。结合文章主题，设计了小组合作，创作海报，鼓励学生爱护动物、敬畏生命，从自身做起为保护濒危野生动物做出自己的贡献，培养学生良好的公识和社会责任感，为培养未来优秀社会主义公民奠定基础。
七、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Present a picture including 10 words and phrases. Ask Ss to find the words and phrases as many as possible.
2. Introduce the topic – “pandas”.
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Show a video about pandas. After watching the video, ask Ss two questions:
①What do baby pandas usually have for meals?
②What do adult pandas usually eat for meals?
2. Free talk: Guide Ss to talk about pandas with the words in the box.
Step 3 While-reading
1. Check the answers of preview homework.
Task 1 Match the main idea with each part.
Task 2 Scan Para. 3 to find out what these numbers mean: 12, 10, 300, 2000
Task 3 Scan the passage again and answer the questions.
2. Task 4 Read again and complete the passage by filling in the blanks.
Step 4 Post-reading
Task 5 Work in groups: Retell the passage with the help of the mind-map.
Task 6 Work in groups: Choose one endangered animal and design a poster to let people know more about endangered wild animals.
Step 5 Summary and homework
