第一部分；one 与 that的区分

A. That-----替代可数n和不可数n,但只能指物.(不可物 )。 One.替代可数,指人和物.（可人物）。

eg.1 A table made of steel costs more than_(B)____made of wood.  A.that B.one C.it(可物)

  2.Social life in a village cannot compare with that of a large city. (that=social life 不物)

  3.My seat was next to that of the mayor.(that=the seat 可物).

  4.A hateful person is one that arouses feelings of hatred in you.(可人)

B.  That=the+n.(特指)泛指)

 Eg.1The potato crop in 1846 was inferior that of 1816. (that=the potato crop)

 I am looking for a flat.I’d like one with a garden.(one=a flat)

C.  当它们指可物时,用(特指,泛指区分) 但都特指时,也就是说that是否等于the one.

 The TV set made in China is cheaper than that /the one made in England

D.  that可有后置定语 one可有后置,前置定语

  This question is a good one about which I have to spend time thinking twice.

    No bread eaten by man is so sweet as that got by his own labor.

E .One 可用于同位语,和结构。 但that不可以。

   He is a strict but good captain, one who took good care of the sailors on the ship.

F.  that用which引导定从，不可用who, that,和零关系关系代词，但one 可以。
