 Language points :

1. Think of carnival, and you think of crows, costumes, and confusion.

此句是一个“祈使句+and+陈述句”结构，相当于if引导的条件句。

Come early, and you will catch the first bus.= ______________, you will catch the first bus.

如表示“否则”，中间的连词用or.  Eg. Hurry up, or you will be late for the meeting.

即学即练：(1) 努力学习，你就会取得很大的进步。

3. Having fun means eating, drinking, and dressing up.     

  1) Having fun 为动名词短语作主语，动名词作主语，表抽象、泛指不具体的动作。

       eg . Writing an English composition is not easy .

fun是不可数名词意思是娱乐，乐趣  have fun_________________

  2) mean：vt. 意欲；打算
