When comes to role model, people always think about some pop stars or heroes. A model in my eyes is not just a great beauty, or a wealthy person, but a virtuous person. He does not wear expensive clothes but he is always offering. He is always willing to help others but never want return.

In China, everybody knows Lei Feng. In his short but meaningful life, the number of the people who have accepted Lei Feng’s help is countless. He was a soldier in the army and was always ready to help others. He was a great man with good qualities, he cared much more about others than himself. He thoughtthat "Man's life is limited , but serving the people is unlimited. I should devoted my limited life to serve the people."Lei Feng wrote this in his diary, and so he did.

   Unfortunately, he died because of the work when he was still young. But his spirit has influenced us, especially the teenagers. In 1963, Chairman Mao wrote “learn to Lei Feng” for him. People began to learnt from him. They do as Lei Feng did, helping and caring for others. The saying "Lei Feng is our example" spread everywhere for decades. Our society needs such a spirit, needs thousands of millions of persons like Lei Feng

Though Lei Feng has been away from us for many years,his spirit and good qualities are still alive. He made me know that helping and caring others is of great importance.

He was a such common person ,but he was different from others with a strong character, so I regarded him as my role model. I learned from him that I should show my love and care the people in need. If we can do so, everyone will become a model.

There is an old Chinese saying: you don’t know the price of food until you get married, you don’t know parents’ love until you have a child. There’re many differences between Chinese and western mothers, but I think no matter what Chinese or western mothers do, they all want their children to be better. Next I will tell you some stories about my father and mother. I love them very much and they love me, too. But the ways of how to raise me are so different. My mother always cares about my breakfast, cares about my studying, and care about the small but very important things around me. My father’s love is not very obvious, he does not talk a lot with me, but whenever I have a big problem, he will help me to solve it and tells me how to do better in the future. Sometimes there will be some conflicts, and my mother thinks if one thing can make me better in the future, it is worth to do. But my father always thinks if I am not willing to do it, it is not worthwhile. When I was young, my mother said I must go to the math class at the weekend, but of course, I was reluctant. At last, my father persuaded my mother not to do that and I thanked my father very much.

In my opinion, there’re some principles in parenting.

The first one: you must trust your child, put trust in your eyes, gesture and talk, those are important.

The second one: respect your child, you should know what your child need and listen to them. You can also help them in their study.

Principle 3: encourage your child, that will make them more powerful. Share the happiness with them.
