A strong argument has taken place among students since our school made students do voluntary labor.

Some students think it’s a good way of education. Now most families have only one child. They never do hard work. To do voluntary labor is a good chance for them to learn how to do difficult work. It can also help them understand and respect cleaners.

But others have different points. They think it’s easy for them to get sick. They don’t think it’s students’ jobs. Cleaning classroom every day is enough.

Now more and more families have cars. Children, especially middle school students, want to drive a car themselves. They think it’s very cool. Some of them also think it’s very convenient to have a trip with their friends in their own cars. But why are they not allowed to drive alone is very dangerous. It is not safe for ourselves and others. We are too young to control ourselves. If we want to drive, we should have a driver’s license first, or at least we should ask our teachers or parents to be with us.

English and I

    My English name is Tome and I love English. I love using it. I like writing English sentences, talking with English native speakers, reading English books and watching American movies. When I learn something new about English, I feel I’m getting better and more powerful. There are some things I’m especially proud of. In 2007 I took part in a national English competition for middle school students. I was the 7th in the country. I think practicing English every day is the best way to learn English well.
