   In the past ten years, great changes have taken place in our hometown. In the past, the houses in our hometown were very old. The roads were narrow. People used to walk or ride bicycles to go to work. People kept in touch with their friends and relatives far away mainly by letter. But now, there are many tall buildings here and there. Many people in our hometown have moved into tall buildings. Roads are wide and clean. People can take buses or drive their own cars to go to work. Many people use cellphones to communicate. I am sure in the future, my hometown will become better and better.

On January 1st, 2016, our country started to carry out the two-child policy. It's good and right for the development of our country now, because our country need more young workers. Many parents also want to have one more child. Although they may have some difficulties in affording another child's life, education and so on, they will have another child to be with them. As for me, the only child in my family, I want to have a sister or a brother. Not only can we share happiness, but also we can help each other in our daily life.

In the past, children had little food to eat and couldn't dress warmly. Most of them had no chance to go to school because they were poor. And they had very little entertainment.

　　With the development of China, all those things have changed. Nowadays, children have a balanced diet. They can wear different kinds of clothes. They can also get a good education. What's more, they have chances to draw pictures, play musical instruments and receive some other training.

I’m writing to tell you about the pollution in the small river near my home. In the past, it was clear and there used to be lots of fish in the river. There once were many green trees and grass on both sides. But things have changed now. Last year a factory was set up. A lot of dirty water was poured into the river. Now, the river smells terrible and the trees and grass have died. The changes have caused many problems for the lives of the people around.

　　I hope the government will realize the importance of protecting the environment.

We all know that water is very important to us. There will be no life without water. So we must do something to protect and save it.

　　First, we should protect our water resources and not pollute them. The government should pass laws against water pollution. Second, we should save water in our daily life. For example, we should turn off the tap in time, take a shower instead of a bath, and always remember to collect and reuse water. Third, let’s try to spread the message about protecting and saving water. Make more people around us know the problem of water shortage and the way to solve it.

We should plant more trees and flowers around us. We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and sending waste gas into the air. Whenever we see litter on the ground, we should pick it up and throw it into dustbins. Never spit in public. Don't draw on public walls. We should also use cloth bags instead of plastic bags.

　　In a word, it's our duty to protect the environment. We hope our world will become more and more beautiful.

   The earth is seriously polluted now. people cut down many trees, throw rubbish about and pour waste water into rivers. As a result, there are more and more sandstorms. The rivers are becoming dirtier and dirtier. And people are having more and more diseases. 

We must do something to solve the problems. We should recycle waste paper to protect the forests. We can also sort the rubbish and take it to the dustbins for recycling. Besides, we can suggest the government to make laws about waste water. Let's take action from now on.

Now, shared bikes are provided for people in many cities in China.They're becoming popular. Shared bikes are a great choice for people. They can help protect the environment as they don't cause any air pollution. Also, they are convenient because they can be rented and returned at any time. What's more, riding shared bikes is a good and easy way to exercise and to relax.

　　However, we are supposed to take care of the shared bikes and obey the safety rules.

　　I hope more and more people can ride shared bikes and live a low-carbon life.

　　In the modern society, English is becoming more and more important. It is widely used as a foreign language in many countries in the world. Most business letters around the world are written in English. Three fourths of the world's books and newspapers are printed in English. Lots of information on the Internet is written in English. And China is becoming more and more international. Young people must learn English if they want to have a better future. English has become a bridge between people from different countries.

In fact, English isn't as difficult as you think. You may have trouble with the ways of learning English.

　　First, try to get everything and write down the difficult points in the new lesson. Second, listen carefully in class. Don't forget to take notes if necessary. Third, do more exercises.

　　It's an honor to talk with all of you here. I want to give you some advice on how to learn English well. In order to improve my English, I joined an English club. And I often go to an English corner and talk with others in English. I usually memorize new words as soon as I get up every morning. I often follow the tapes to do some listening practice. In my spare time, I often watch some English programs on TV. I have made some progress this term, and don't you want to have a try? That's all. Thank you!

  More and more people have mobile phones in China. Mobile phones offer us a lot of convenience. We can call each other at any time. And also we use them to send short messages. However, mobile phones bring us some trouble. Using them too much is bad for our health. As a student, I think we can have mobile phones because our parents can easily know what happens to us. But I don't think it's right to keep mobile phones on in class. So we should use them properly.

　　 In June, 2013 the spaceship Shenzhou X was successfully sent into space. Wang Yaping, the second spacewoman, gave a wonderful space lesson to all Chinese teenagers. I was so excited and moved after watching. I admire Chinese astronauts like Nie Haisheng, Zhang Xiaoguang and Wang Yaping. So I want to be an astronaut when I grow up.

　　From now on, I must study hard on all the subjects especially science and English so that I can research and explore the space. On the other hand, I must keep on doing exercise in order to become an astronaut.

　　I hope my dream will be realized. I believe I can make it.

As we know, the Internet is more and more important in our daily life. On the Internet, we can read news and get much information at home. We can send e-mails or make telephone calls to our families and friends through the Internet.

　　Besides that, we can go to school on the Internet, read many kinds of books and even teach ourselves English. We can also enjoy music, watch ball matches and play computer games. We can even do shopping without leaving our homes. The Internet is really important.

  They can get important information from the Internet, which is helpful to their studies. They can make friends through the net. What's more, it's faster and cheaper to send e-mails on the Internet.

　　But 40% of them think getting online is a waste of time and money. It is harmful to them because there is something bad for them to read. Besides, they never make friends on the net, because they don't know each other well. And they think they can phone or write to their friends if they want to.

　　 I think students should use the Internet to search some useful information for their studies. But they shouldn't spend too much time on it.

Last week, our class went to visit the science museum. In the museum, we learned a lot about our 　　Shenzhou spaceships and the astronauts. We saw the pictures of some great inventions and inventors. Some of us were interested in cloning technology and robots, while others were interested in aliens, the solar system and the universe. We also watched a scientific movies Spacewalk there.

We are very excited about what we saw. We are also proud of the surprising science. At the same time, we decide to study hard to master some basic science technology. What an exciting day!

Meizhou Island is one of the most famous islands in Fujian. It lies in the south of Putian. Every year thousands of Chinese and foreigners go there. It's not far from here. It takes you about one and a half hours to arrive there by bus from Putian City. And then you can enjoy the sea and the unigue rocks. In the early morning when the sun rises, the sky looks very beautiful. It's really a nice place to visit.

　I still remember when I began to learn English, I found it too difficult. No matter how hard I tried, I still couldn't do well in it. I lost my confidence and almost gave it up. As soon as you knew it, you had a long talk with me kindly about how to learn English well. You always encouraged me whenever I made a little progress. Ever since then I have been interested in it and improved myself a lot.

　　Though I have to say goodbye to you very soon, I still think I am so lucky to be your student. I hope you can relax yourself and keep healthy.
