名词在英语学习中是非常重要的，它分为可数名词和不可数名词。不可数名词可以简单地理解为无法用数计算的名词，比如肉类meat、chicken等,液体water，juice，orange，milk等。可数名词分单数和复数，单数常和a, an, the冠词连用，如 a dog, an apple, 但是可数名词变复数是同学们在学习时接触过的语法现象，也是比较难以掌握的，同时也是每次考试涉及到的重要知识点，本节课我们一起总结可数名词变复数的规则。

一、名词复数的规则变化

1) 一般的名词在词尾加-S　

students, apples, bags, trees, books, brothers.  

2) 以s、x、sh、ch结尾的名词加-es

glasses, boxes, brushes, matches.

3) 以辅音字母加y结尾的名词，变y为i加es

cities, babies，countries,candies,stories,fairies

4) 以o结尾的名词，有些加es

tomatoes, potatoes,mango

二、名词复数的不规则变化(这些需要我们在今后学习过程中不断归纳，不断记忆)

1)改变内部的元音字母：

foot→ feet, tooth→ teeth, mouse→ mice，man→ men, woman→ women

2)单复数同形：

sheep→ sheep, deer→ deer, Chinese→ Chinese, 

3）加ren

child→ children

3）集体名词， people ,class, police 等本身就是复数
