一、指导思想和理论依据
在《小学英语新课程标准》理论的指导下,现代小学英语教学旨在培养学生良好的语言素质和文化意识,将语言知识与实际生活相结合,力争做到活学活用。一切以兴趣为出发点,为学生的英语学习创设良好的语言环境,并通过小组合作增进学生的合作精神和团队意识。本课采用新课标倡导的英语教学理念,体现以学生为本的教学理念,以学生的认知经验和发展水平为基本出发点,采用体验、实践、感悟、探究的教学方式、小组(同伴)合作等教学方法。培养学生综合运用语言的能力,通过丰富教学活动的设计,使学生的形象思维得以训练和发展。注重引导学生主动参与动口、动手、动脑等活动,调动学生多种感官,强化听说两种技能的训练与提高。
二、教学背景分析
1、教材内容分析
本册为北师大版五年级英语上册,本课时为Unit4 Mocky’s Birthday的第二课时的词汇教学,包括Words to Learn , Listen to This和Talk Together三部分。本单元故事主要讲述Mocky受Ann 和Ken的邀请到他们家,看见桌子上有一份生日礼物,不知道是谁的生日,于是看着日历逐一核对三个人的生日,最后发现原来是Mocky自己的生日。通过学习这一有趣的故事,学生学习:一、能够进行关于生日的问答When is your birthday? My birthday is…二、能够进行关于季节的表达,知道一年有四季,能将十二个月份划分到四个季节,能就四季简单表达感受和喜好。
本节课是第二课时,学生通过第一课时的学习已初步掌握关于生日的问答:When is your birthday? My birthday is…并能初步了解三人的生日所属的季节。本节课主要是功能句型的操练课,教师通过任务型教学,通过听、说、读等方法对功能句型进行操练。本课时还包括语音部分,可以将其与四季、穿着联系起来。
生日和季节是学生非常熟悉的内容,比较贴近学生的生活,学生能有比较丰富的内容可以表达,学生没有学过十二个月份,但在以往写作业时要求写日期,因此对十二个月并不陌生,但对十二个月的词汇尤其是完整的单词及其发音掌握不够,将十二个月准确的划分到四季也有困难。
2、学生情况分析
五年级的学生学习英语的兴趣比较浓厚。但是他们这个年龄段表演的欲望有所降低,口语表达能力不能有效提高。所以我有意在每堂课上训练他们的口语表达能力,加强他们运用英语进行交际表达的能力,在参与中感受语言的运用环境。这个年龄段的学生已经有了一定的自主学习的意识,所以教学生学习的方法更为重要。
学生在三年级已经学过“What are you doing? I’m_____.”的现在进行时句型。本课时的Talk Together是一个复现,在经过Unit4第一课时的学习,他们已初步掌握了September 、autumn 、forget 、October和“When is your birthday? It’s _______. ”和“How old are you? I’m ____ years old.”
三、教学目标及重、难点分析
1、知识和技能目标:
(1)能够听说、认读词汇:January to December,season, spring, summer, autumn, winter, month, year
(2)通过学习能够理解和应用句型“When is your birthday? It’s _____. ”对他人的生日进行询问,还可以用句型 “How old are you? I’m ____ years old.” 问询他人的年龄。
2、过程与方法目标:
(1)通过复习故事,教师引导学生理解句型和单词的意思。
(2)通过师生、生生问答、小组合作等形式能够运用本课的核心语言。安排同桌同学合作学习可以在双人活动中体验角色扮演的乐趣,并达到拓展的目的。
(3)通过引导学生观察词形,帮助学生识记单词,培养学生的学习能力。在小组活动环节,学生可以询问组内同学的生日,年龄,运用新句型,在实际情境中模拟操练,这样既培养了他们小组合作意识和团队精神,又可以锻炼他们的语言运用能力。
3、情感态度与价值观目标:
(1)通过学习故事、词汇、对话,培养学生查阅日历及合理安排日常生活的习惯。
(2)通过询问同学和家人的生日,能够树立关心家人、朋友的意识,增进同学之间的友谊。
4、教学重点分析:

5、教学难点分析:
十二个月份的单词的词形和读音。日期表达时要准确的使用序数词。

Step 1 Warm up
1. Review the story:
T: last class we read the story. Do you remember when Ken, Ann and Mocky’s birthday are?
Ss: Look at their books, find out the answers.
2. Elicit the sentences and have Ss understand
After finding, show a calendar and ask, "When is Ken’s birthday? "
Put the sentence on the board: What’s the date?
Show the word date , have Ss understand the meaning.
Please circle the date on the calendar.
One student comes to the front and circles the date.
After the S circle, pin the sentence on the board: It’s March 12th.
Using the same method to find Ann’s and Mocky’s birthday. Teach the words: September, October, autumn.
Step 2 Presentation

1) November
Ask: It’s after October. It’s the 11th month. Which month is it? Can you guess?
Guess and say the word.
Show the word November, teach the word.
Say: September, October and November are in autumn.
Show the word autumn and teach the word.
Understand the word and repeat.
Ask: what’s the weather like in autumn in Beijing?
2) December
Ask: which month after November? It’s the last month of the year. Chrisamas Day is in it.
Show the picture and have Ss guess. And then show the word December and teach the word.
Discuss how to memorize the words.
Ask: Whose birthday is in December?
3) Have the Ss observe the words September, October, November and December.
4) January
Show the picture and ask:
It’s New Year’s Day. Which month is it?
Show the word. Teach the word and pin it on the board.
Whose birthday is in January ?
5) February
Show the picture and ask: Who is this man? Yes, he is Nieer. He is a famous musician. Do you know when his birthday is? Guess.
Guess Nieer’s birthday.
Show the word February and teach the word. Pin the word on the board.
Listen to the tape and repeat.
6) Have the Ss observe the words January and February.
Discuss how to memorize the words.
Say: December, January and February are in spring.
Show the word winter and teach the word.
Ask: What’s the weather like in winter in Beijing? Do you like winter?
Discuss the weather about winter, understand the word.
7) June
Show the picture. Say: Look, the children are very happy! Do you know why? Yes, because it is Children’s Day. Which month is the Children’s Day in?
Look at the picture, answer the teacher’s question.
Show the word June and teach the word.
8) July
Show Liu Xiang’s photo and ask: Who’s this? Do you know when his birthday is?
Circle the date on the calendar. Elicit the Ss answer.
Show the word July and teach the word.
9) August
Show the picture and ask: What do you think of the picture? Yes, Olympic. Last year, the 29th Olympic games was held in Beijing. Which month is it?
Show the word.
Say: June, July and august are in summer.
Show the word summer and teach it.
Ask: What is the weather like in summer? Who likes summer? Why?
10) May
Ask: Do you want to know when my birthday is? Yes, my birthday is in May.
Show the word May, teach the word.
11) April
Elicit the Ss look at the board and say: Which month is between March and May? Yes, it’s April.
Show the word April, teach the word.
Say: March, April and May are in spring.
Show the word spring and teach the word.
Ask: Do you like spring? What’s the weather like in spring in Beijing?
2. Learn the word “month, year and season”
Elicit the Ss look at the board and answer: How many months are there in a year? What are they? How many seasons are there in a year? What are they?
Write the words months year , seasons and teach them.
Step 3 Practice
1. Play the tape.

Second say the chant with teacher.

1、课堂教学中的现场评价:
教师通过体态语言、口头激励、活动展示汇报、启发引导、观察等方式激励和评价学生,促进教学。
2、通过听、说、读、写各个方面对学生的学习过程进行适时评价。
六、本课教学设计与以往或其他教学设计相比的特点:
趋向真实交际的教学设计,以学生为主体的活动安排。实现了从知识到能力的转变。注重教学内容与学生的生活经验相结合,实现了学以致用的教学目标。在师生自由问答中学习十二个月份,学会看日历。通过师生之间的自由问答,学习新句型,并通过Pair work进行操练。为了训练学生的听力能力,先让他们仔细听音学生通过跟读为输出作铺垫。通过活动,使学生运用所学的语言知识在真实的语言环境中进行交流,培养学生综合运用语言的能力。下载本文
