The Proposal is a standard-order, by-the-book romantic comedy that offers nothing remotely fresh .The story happened to get Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) and her administrative assistant, Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds), to Alaska where they can face his family with the "happy" news that they're engaged.

The summary of the movie is that it happens because Margaret, the chief editor at a Boston-based publishing house, is about to be deported to Canada because her green card application has been rejected. The only way for her to remain in the United States and keep her job is for her to gain a VISA. So she gets the nearest way- Andrew - and hopes him into becoming engaged. But the United States government, represented by the slimy Mr. Gilbertson, knows the couple is not plan to engage. Margaret and Andrew have one weekend, to be spent in Alaska at the house owned by Andrew's parents, to Alaska where they can face his family with the "happy" news that they're falling into love.To learning about one another while celebrating the birthday of Andrew's octogenarian grandmother, Annie. I recommend you give it a try if a girl who likes romantic comedy.

In my opinion it should not be considered a spoiler to reveal that the two actually fall in love. After all, that's the point of the movie, and the only reason any percentage of the population will see it. In fact,it might have been more enjoyable, the Proposal was just another romantic comedy. It was predictable but was funny at moments and romantic. it had two good performances from Bullock and Reynolds and had a interesting plot. But there were some moments that I just wanted to get out of there. But it was an alright movie. Both leads were good. Sandra Bullock was alright. Her roll is a character you hate but grows on you throughout the movie. It's hard for me not to like Ryan Reynolds since I am a fan of him. He did a good job in this and if you like him check out some of his other movies. I recommend Just Friends. 

I think it tells us a story about a woman and a man. A story about pure or selling love and life .They are many things including laugh or cry , laugh or cry ,weath or area, characters or experience...like every story .But all of them are not the most important , the most important is "enjoy every day" with love,it is only a story,but in someone's memory, it means all!
