Bicycling to work

Recent years, an increasing number of people all around the world are fond of leading an energy-saving and healthy lifestyle. Bicycling to work is a case in point of both energy saving and reducing air pollution. There are many benefits of bicycling to both individuals and the society. 

Firstly, bicycling can lighten the heavy burden on public transportation, for it won't take as much space as cars. Secondly, when the traffic is heavy, people in cars are caught in the traffic jam and can't do anything but simply wait for a move. In the other way round, these who ride bicycles don't need to worry about this sort of thing, and what is more, they can save a lot of time on the road. Thirdly, bicycles don't need any fuel and produce no pollution at all that save energy, money and the air in the city. Last but not least, people nowadays don't have enough time to do exercise, however in this way they exercise a lot and build their strength. 

As far as I am concerned, I have been riding my bicycle to school for years and I think bicycling not only helps me save my time and money but also does good to my body. However, the roads are not so safe all the time and we must be careful when bicycling. 

My view on coping with energy crisis

When asked about one of the biggest problems today, many people say that an energy crisis is approaching and is threatening mankind's survival. They are afraid that the world is likely to run out of oil and metals and even to run short of food. 

To solve this problem, most countries respond with the demand for more rigid conservation of our natural resources. Indeed, this is urgently needed, since the present waste of energy is so serious. If the natural resources are used economically, we can certainly slow down the rapid use of the limited energy supply. 

However, the problem cannot be solved by conservation only. I think another way is to develop new energy resources. Obviously, no matter how hard we try to save the energy resources and how abundant they are, we will use them up sooner or later. I think we don't have to depend only on the current energy resources. There are many other energy resources that we can develop such as nuclear power, waterpower and solar power. If so, these resources can completely replace the conventional energy and thus solve the problem of the energy crisis. 

My view on how to deal with the haze in our country

In recent years, all around the world air pollution has become quite a serious problem which is threatening our planet. As we all know, industrial pollution is the major cause of the air pollution. In addition, pirate cars are becoming more and more common among families, which give off automobile exhaust in large amount. Nowadays the serious haze in big cities in our country teaches us a lesson. The haze is so terrible that people even cannot breathe freely in the open air and imagine how scary it is. What is worse, the haze will certainly do much harm to people's health in a long term. So it is an urgent thing for us to fight against it with no hesitation. First of all, the government should immediately take more effective measures to ban industrial emissionand close these illegal small plants which contribute a lot to the air pollution. At the same time, because trees can absorb harmful gases, policies should be made to prevent plants being destroyed and to encourage growing trees. More over, companies should use new technology to reduce pollution they cause. Last but not least, when going out, people should drive less and use public transportation more. Only through these ways can we deal with the haze in our country and make a better place for us to live. 

My view on college students making money during their spare time

Now among university students, whether taking a part-time job oneself has contributed to a heated debate. 

Some say that students' spare time is very limited, besides, they also have great variety of courses to take in school. In some cases, in order to work, students even escape from classes and this will do harm to their study. What is worse, because of making money they may fail in examinations. 

Others advance that as for age, university students have already grown up and they are able to arrange for their own lives. Taking a part-time job can help they to set up salf-respect and avoid the indignity of asking parents for money. What is more, they believe these young adults have the ability of making a balance between studying making money. In addition going out of school to work will enable students to practice communicating with others and learn how to be careful, patient and strong. 

As far as I am concerned, I would like to take a part-time job to earn some money myself. On one hand, I can relieve the heavy burden of tuition fee on my family. On the other hand, I can meet all kinds of people and see others lead what kinds of life. 

However, working out of school is not easy for who are not strong and optimistic. Ones should consult their teachers and parents before making a decision. 

Honesty Is the Best Policy

When it comes to honesty quite a lot people agree that it is essential to a person's character and quality. On one hand, honesty can win people trust, and trust is an important part in business. On the other hand, many great people in history set us good examples of being honest. We respect them in that they are much more honest than common people . 

However these days people are not so honest as they once were, and the temptation to cheat is greater than ever before. First, cheating on exams is becoming more common among students. Second, stores sell fake products and are not so responsible. Third, many rich people cheat on taxes. But the truth will be revealed in the end, and these who cheat will be punished at last. These all draw honesty into public concern. Needless to say, honesty is never out of date, and we need honesty all the time. 

As is known to all, honesty is the best policy, we must take effective actions to be honest in our daily life. In addition we should not only be honest ourselves, but also try our best to teach the young generation to be honest. 

My view on slowing down global warming

Gone are the days when most people care little about the world climate. Recent years we can feel the warmer and warmer climate and there are numbers of reports on global warming , which have brought global warming into public concern. 

Above all, I think , it is all human beings who should strengthen their energy saving awareness. We all should take specific actions to use less natural gas, petrol and coal. For example, we should walk more and drive less. What is more, always remember to turn off lights when leaving the rooms, recycle used paper, and call on people around us to do so. In addition, more trees should be planted so as to absorb more carbon dioxide which is one of the greenhouse gases and contributes to global warming. Last but not least, high science and technology should be applied to this field. 

In my opinion it is essential for both countries and individuals to go out of their way to prevent the planet from being destroyed. Only in this way will we lead a happy life and benefit our future generations. 

College students and society

College students now have a sea of chances to take part in social activities. 

Some people think it important for college students to do certain social work, so that, in this way, they can experience the real world by themselves. Then they can become more realistic than before. On the contrary, if they never experience the real life in society, they may be well confused when they graduate from school. Because of this, they should take part in as many as activities as possible. 

Others do not agree, saying that as a student, no matter a middle school student or a college student one must do well in his or her school work. It looks as if college students, compared with other people, have more spare time. However, in fact, the courses in college are extremely difficult, and it takes time and effort to master this knowledge. What's more, if students spend too much time working in society, they will not have enough time to study. 

In a word, college students must think twice before making decisions whether to do something in society. 下载本文
