G: Well, I have watched some circus shows on TV. Those animals are quite intelligent indeed and very funny, but I still think it is too cruel to train animals like that. 

CL :Yep. Not just in circus, in the entertainment industry. Trained animals have become much more pervasive in human society with various aspects of usage. Just like dogs, generally they are used to guid the blind, while with further training they can help to search for survivors after an earthquake or find out the hidden drugs .

C : Right. Animals are really brilliant assistants. But some people argue that we should not train animals and regard them as a tool , especially for commercial purpose. I have read a passage about a circus monkey, very thin and poor, he was badly abused by his trainer. Every time the monkey failed to entertain the audience, he was not allowed to eat and even suffering torture.

Z : Poor monkey . Oh, right . Do you remember the TV program “ Animal World”, I enjoyed it a lot when I was in primary school. In the forest and jungle,those animals are so lively and at ease. So I think they should stay where they belong to and live their own life.

G : But as a result of the development of human civilization, the habitats of some animals have been effected and even changed as they have been taken into human society, such as the dogs. They are usually kept as door-keepers and treated as a family member .

CL :There is another problem .Think about the fact that there are hundreds of homeless animals roved around the city and many of them have been maltreated by cold-blooded people. 

C :Yep, some people just raise those little animals for fun, and when they get bored, the life of these little creatures will be at risk. While, how about the fate of trained animals , will you abandon your door-keeper or guide dog when you get bored with it? 

Z :Absolutely not! Because they are useful! As a matter of fact, trained animals are often regarded as friends or a family members and they are treated better than those animals which just be bought as pets.

G : It is unfair. Trained animals and pets should be equivalently treated and cared . But when trained animals become old and unable to do things for their trainers, they will just suffer as pets. Those people are so brutal. 

CL :I can’t agree more . Human beings are also animals. Both as the children of nature ,we human beings should take the responsibility and live together with animals in harmony .

C :Absolutely .En…I suggest we go to the circus and tell the trainer be friendly to their partners.
