The various discussions about Internet spring up after its wide spread onto all kinds of aspects in people’s work and life. When it comes to Internet, there always exist many topics to talk about. As for me, I’d like to speak about most is that the Internet reduces the distance between us and the things or the people we like or admire. I summarize this point of view from my family members through observations and interviews.

    My mother is very fond of singing as well as my aunts. They usually go to karaoke to enjoy themselves and learn new songs and dance steps. Since my father bought a computer in 2005, from then my mother withdraws from the family group. After the computer appears in my family, my mother uses Internet to listen to music and seek new songs which suit her tastes and keys as soon as she has free time. She says that once she had to go to the KTV to learn songs and skills, while now, with the help of the Internet, she can not only listen to the songs she likes or she plans to learn, but also watch the music televisions to feel the singers’ emotions which directly leads to the closer touch between my mother and her admired singers. It’s no doubt that this pattern is more attractive than others to the group that my mother stands for. As a consequence, the uses of the Internet narrow the gap between the ordinary people and the super stars. 

In order to keep my taste up-to-date, last winter I open my microblog on the Internet. At first, I think it is also a stage like blog for you to write essays and articles, but later I find it is an interesting tool for you to take notes for what happening to you or the people around you during a certain time. What excites me most is that I can pay close attention to the stars that I like by sending an application to him or her. Like now, there is a complete list of celebrities that I want to follow with interest. The time I login, their news will flash on the screen as well as their handsome images. Sometimes if I can not hold my strong feelings, I will leave my comments on the words my idols says before. One day I surprisingly find that one of my comments is responded by my favorite singer, her response makes my whole week full of happiness and pride. So the Internet makes it possible for me to chat with my goddess which I have no courage to expect before. Owing to the important Internet, I can do many things that I could not do before. 

    The Internet can bring us so many conveniences and possibilities both in our lives and works since it is closely related to our daily life. Being a useful tool to shorten the distances, Internet accelerates the speeds of the development of science and technology and makes the global village possible.下载本文
