纵观近几年高考，英语书面表达大致分为材料作文、图表作文和开放作文。且材料作文逐渐被图表作文取代，图表分析作文就是将数据、图像所包含的信息，转化为表意的说明文字。图表分析作文通常比较复杂，学生不仅要弄清提示，还要看懂所给的图表和数据。由于这类试题提示内容少，信息点分散，审题时一定要领会作者的出题意图，弄清主题再动笔。

图表作文三个层次要求：

图表式作文是说明文的一种。一般可分三个层次来写：

•第一按照题目要求描述图表反映的总情况，即概括大意。

•第二对数字进行仔细的比较，抓住特点进行分析、归纳并找出产生变化的原因。

•第三可写读图表后的想法和评论，从而得出自己的结论。

Ownership of Houses in a Big City in China

As can be seen from the chart， ownership of houses in a big city in China changed in the past ten years. In 1995， 75 percent of the houses were state owned. Five years later， the rate of state owned houses to private ones was 3 to 2. But from then on， the ownership of houses changed rapidly and so far 80 percent of houses have been private.

What caused the changes？ There might have been two main reasons. First， from 1995 up to now， the people's living standards have been improving. Most of them can afford to buy the houses. Second， most people do not save a lot of money in the bank for their children as their parents did in the past. They want to have their own home and enjoy life.

Such changes have had a great effect on the development of society. It does good to both the citizens and the government.（1）

One possible version

According to the figures given by the graph， the Chinese farmers' personal income rose steadily from 1970 to 1990. In the middle of 1970's their income was rather low. Their annual personal income was about 180 yuan. But in 1980 the average personal income increased to 270 yuan. As is shown by the graph， in 1985 their income doubled up to 540 yuan. After that their income are growing sharply. In a word， during the period of 20 years the farmers' income had gone up rapidly. 

There were many reasons for it. Mainly the Chinese government had been carrying out a reform and opening policy， which resulted in the steady growth of farmers' income. 

I believe that with a series of agricultural policies being carried out， there is no doubt that the farmers' living standard will be improved to the fullest. （146）

Spend more time on physical activities

It is reported that American students spend more than 70 minutes on physical activities per day. However, in China students have only 12 minutes for physical activities per day.

    Why do the Chinese students spend so little time on physical activities? From the pie chart above we can see, 40% of their spare time is spent doing their homework; 25% of it is spent watching TV; 20% is spent playing computer games or chatting online. Only 15% of their time is used to do some physical activities. It is obvious that most of their spare time is spent on homework, computer games and TV shows.

    In my opinion, students should spend more spare time on physical activities, which are beneficial to their growth and health. Both the education departments and parents should encourage students to set aside more time for physical activities.

Recently the student union conducted a survey on whether recycling dustbins should be set in classrooms. 

As can be seen from the pie chart, different students hold different opinions on this program. Only a few students care little about it. Surprisingly, about one third of students are totally against the program. They don’t bother to change their old habits. However, over half the students are completely for the program, as it is not only beneficial to recycling of resources, but also it can help students develop their good habits of garbage classification. Besides, 12% of the students partly agree. They hold the opinion that educating people on how to classify the garbage goes first. 

Personally, I’m in favor of this program. I believe it’s important to raise people’s awareness of garbage classification, from which we will get considerable benefits for the future.

A survey was recently held on the Internet about who we teenagers will turn to when we meet troubles in our life or study.

Different people have different opinions .From the chart we can see about 60% of us teenagers prefer to ask our classmates of the same age for help because we can understand each other well. Besides ,30% of us would like to share troubles with our teachers or parents as they have rich experience and can be depended on .Surprisingly, still 10% feeling it difficult to get along well with others ,simply trust nobody but themselves when in trouble. Therefore most of us teenagers can solve the problem in time with others’ help while a few should be open-minded enough to turn to others.
