Step 1 Warming-up 1. Discussion Do you love animals? What kind of animals do you like? Why? 2.Watch and answer: How do you think of these animals? Would you like to make friends with them? Animals are friendly. However, some of them are under threat, especially the wildlife: they are facing the extinction! 3.What other animals are under threat? Step2 Before Listening Look at the posters below and make predictions. Discuss these questions in pairs. (TIPS: Use visuals to predict content Before you listen, look at pictures, charts, videos and other visuals to help you predict what you will hear.) 1. What message do these posters share? The message of these posters is that wildlife is under threat. 2. Which one moves you the most? Why? The second poster moves me the most because it is very bad that whole species are being lost, and the image of animals falling through an hourglass shows how serious it is and how time is running out to protect these species.
