Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I’m more than happy today to be here and share with you some of my thoughts about the topic “change the unchangeable”.
Many of you know an old saying in China, “The sky shall rain, and my mother shall marry.” It indicates that there are things in this world that are unchangeable. However, if we change our visual angle, things may look different. Travel to another place, and you may escape the coming rain. Talk to your mother, and you may stop her from marrying.
In life, we often come by things with an “unchangeable” tag. But actually, the tag is only our own perception. Once our perception changes, the unchangeable shall be changed.
In the long history of China, male has always been thought as to be the only sex that may become emperor, and this rule has always been regarded as unchangeable after it was made. However, there was Wu Zetian, who was always remembered as the women that changed this unchangeable system. She leaped over the “unchangeable law”.
What I’m trying to say is, there really isn’t anything truly “unchangeable” in this world.
“Unchangeable” is not a state of reality, but only an excuse for cowards. Let me explain it more specifically. When you have the desire to change something, and you actually did something to change it, then even if the end isn’t what you think it should be, you have already made a difference. For Wu Zetian, changing the system was never something done in a single day. Every step was precisely measured, and every step counts. Change is a state of motion, even if it’s as small as a flap of a butterfly’s wings, it may create a tsunami. So stop moaning and don’t complain, fetch what you regard as unchangeable, go and make the difference, change it now, and change it fast.
In the end, I’d like to sum this all up with the lyrics of the song Hall of Fame, “You can throw your hands up, you can beat the clock, you can move the mountain, you can break rocks, you can be a master, don’t wait for luck, dedicate yourself and you can find yourself.” So change the unchangeable, because you change it the moment you try. 下载本文
