Detcon公司的有毒气体电解质传感器是设计用以监测在周围空气中存在的多种有毒气体的传感器。Detcon公司传感器能检测有毒气体的种类及检测范围的广度都是在业内首屈一指的。这种传感器是三个电极的电化反应型。每一个传感器都是一个反应浴，三个电极都被置于电解液中被包在一个气体扩散膜下。通过改变电极或电解液的组成成份就可对传感器的灵敏度及针对的被测气体进行整定。本传感器在多数工业坏境下一般的工作寿命在两年以上。本传感器技术还提供三种不同特点的防爆装置(DM-400IS系列, DM-500IS系列, 和 DM-600IS系列)，其功能在本手册中有详细的描述。此外，在Detcon公司的DM-200 UniTox产品介绍书中还有单独的安全性极高的DM-200系列的介绍。
工作原理
空气和被测气体通过扩散膜扩散到感应电极上。控制电路在感应电极和对电极之间维持一个足以开始电化学反应的电压。在被测气体的作用下产生的电化反应在两极之间形成电流。这一电流的强度与被测气体的浓度成比例，并且是可逆的。控制电路还在感应极和对电极之间形成偏置电平，这种电平在两极之间不形成电流。传感器的快速反应使它能够对周围空气进行实时、连续的检测。
为什么要选择Detcon公司的有毒气体电解质传感器？
电解质传感器是最广泛应用的有毒气体探测技术。虽然在其些特定的应用场合，也有其它的效果好的传感器，（如固体氧化物半导体传感器以及光学电离传感器），但电解质传感器一直都是公认的检测多种有毒气体的理想产品。Detcon公司生产电解质传感器已有多年的经验，其产品在实际应用吸取经验，最好地体现了该技术的众多优点。
Detcon的电解质传感器应用多种电化学及物理原理，使它能对检测气体的响应时间最快和受干扰气体的影响最小。这种传感器能检测的气体种类繁多，而且它们结构的相似性使得系统建立方式十分灵活。因此，所有的Detcon DM系列都使用通用的信号发送器，这就形成了传感器及信号发送器完全的互换性。Detcon电解质传感器的另一个优点是非常低的能耗，可以使用本质安全的传感器外壳。这样就避免了使用烧结材料或其它灭焰装置所带来的响应时间慢、维护复杂问题。
Detcon公司的电解质传感器传感精确、响应迅速并有极佳的长期重复性。和所有的其它Deton的产品一样，这种传感器及信号发送器也是即插型的，方便了现场维护或更换。传感器的校准时间间隔根据型号不同也有所不同，一般来说需90至180天。
气体传感器几种类型
1. Electrochemical（toxic） 检测有毒气体
电化学式传感器，用于检测有毒气体。电化学式包括定电位电解式和伽伐尼电池式氧气传感器。这里主要指的是定电位电解式传感器。
定电位电解式传感器原理：
筒状塑料池体内，装有电极，电极间充满电解液，由多孔四氟乙烯做成的隔膜在顶部封装。电极间加电位且与前置放大器连接。气体与电解质内的工作电极发生氧化还原反应，电极平衡电位发生变化，变化的值与气体浓度成正比。
2.Catalytic combustion or Infrared 检测可燃气体
催化燃烧式传感器或红外式传感器。这两种传感器主要用于检测可燃气体。
催化燃烧式传感器原理：
气体扩散到传感器的催化燃烧室。燃烧室中两只传感器元件上的催化剂使可燃性气体进行无焰燃烧，产生热量。温度使感应电阻阻值发生变化，打破电桥平衡，产生微小的电压差信号，此信号与可燃气体浓度是成正比的的，从而达到检测可燃气体浓度的目的。
红外式传感器原理：
红外式传感器，是通过一个红外发生器产生红外光， 穿过充有样气的气室，然后被各种气体的专用接收器接收。是利用不同元素对某个特定波长的吸收原理。
3.Diffusion fuel cell 检测氧气
扩散燃烧单元（燃料电池）。即通常所说的伽伐尼电池式氧气传感器。用于氧气的检测。
伽伐尼电池式氧气传感器原理：
塑料容器内一面装有对氧气透过性良好的聚四氟乙烯透气膜，在其容器内侧紧粘着贵金属（铂，黄金，银等）阴电极，在容器另一面内侧或容器的空余部分形成阳极（用铅，镉等离子化倾向大的金属）。氧气在通过电解质时阴阳极发生氧化还原反应，使阳极金属离子化，释放出电子，产生电流。电流的大小与氧气的多少成正比。

| Multi-gas detectors come in a number of different forms, depending on the gases you need to monitor. A standard four gas detector will monitor carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), combustible gases (LEL) and oxygen (O2). 一、电化学传感器技术
电化学原理工作的传感器，其最简单的一种形式就是两电极系统，其工作电极和对电极由一薄层电解液隔开并经由一个很小的电阻连通外电路，当气体扩散进入传感器后，在敏感电极表面进行氧化或还原反应，产生电流并通过外电路流经两个电极。该电流的大小比例于气体的浓度，可通过外电路的负荷电阻予以测量。为了让反应能够发生，敏感电极的电位必须保持在一个特定的范围内。但气体的浓度增加时，反应电流也增加，于是导致对电极电位改变(极化)。由于两电极是通过一个简单在负荷电阻连接起来的，虽然敏感电极的电位也会随着对电极的电位一起变化，如果气体的浓度不断地升高，敏感电极的电位最终有可能移出其允许范围，至此传感器将不成线性，因此两电极气体传感器检测的上限浓度受到一定。
对电极的极化所受的可以引进第三电极一一参考电极和利用一外部的恒电位工作电路来予以避免，在这样一种装置中，敏感电极相对于参考电极保持一固定值，在参考电极中无电流流过，因此这两个电极均维持在一恒定的电位。对电极则仍然可以进行极化，但对传感器而言已不产生任何作用，因此三电极传感器所能检测浓度范围要比两电极大很多。
二、臭氧气体检测仪
电化学臭氧传感器是最近新开发出的产品，它是采用三电极安培型系统，其最主要的是工作电极，它通常是用一具有催化活性的金属，例如铂，将其涂复在一透气但憎水的膜上作成，被测量的气体扩散透过多孔的膜在其上进行电化学氧化反应。电化学反应中参加反应的电子流出工作电极，通过外电路成为传感器输出信号，控制工作电极电位和将信号电流转换为电压信号的电路简图于图示，工作电极的工作信号经运放u，转换为电压信号，同时保持工作电极的电压使之处于其偏压Vbias之值，参考电极位与一个经过仔细选择的稳定的输入电压Vbias比较后,线路中运放Ul在对电极产生一电压信号，其大小好是产生一个与工作电极电流相等相反的电流信号。同时恒电位电路使工作电极与参考电极之间保持一恒定的电位差，还能提高传感器的选择性和改进其响应性能。
北京康尔兴科技发展有限公司采用进口高灵敏度安培型臭氧传感器，研制开发出CPR．B6型便携式臭氧气体检测仪，C PR—G6型固定式臭氧气体检测探头及控制器，测量范围分别为O—5 ppm，0—100ppm,0—1000ppm。此类产品己广泛用于制药行业、医院、食品饮料、冷库、种养殖业等领域。
三、电化学式臭氧气体检测仪的特点：
l、检测方便：由于电化学传感器采用气体扩散方式检测，因而取消了取样系统，避免了在采样过程中臭氧吸附，从而提高了测量准确性。
2、响应快：一般在一次浓度阶跃中达到满度响应的90％，所需时间都小于6 0秒。
3、体积小，重量轻。
4、能连续远程监测：带控制器，可接收1000米内的臭氧检测仪输出的两线制信号进行远程监测。
5、具有超标报警系统：报警点可以根据需要任意设定。
6、寿命长：一般传感器使用寿命达2年以上。
