One day, my mother and I went shopping at a Chinese supermarket. We found that the crucian carps（鲫鱼）in the seafood counter were very fresh, as a result we chose four crucian carps and handed them over to the seller. As it would take some time to clean the fish and dispose（处理）of their internal organs (内脏), we decided to look around the other places first. When we came back to the seafood counter, I asked the seller for my fish. He raised one, which was being cleaned, to let me have a look and tell me he was still working on the fish. I hurriedly said, “Go ahead. Go ahead.” I meant for him to go on.

Unexpectedly, the seller stopped his work, looking at me with puzzled expression, and asked me, “ Go ahead?” “Yes,” I said, “go ahead”. He pointed at the fish in all seriousness, and repeated very seriously, “Head?” Paying no more attention to him, I turned back to chat with my mother. Suddenly, “Bang, bang, bang,” was heard from the counter. Quickly, the seller passed the four fish without heads to me.

I asked loudly, “Why did you cut all the heads off?” The seller was also very angry and said, “Didn’t you tell me to go ahead again and again?”On hearing what he said I felt funny as well as angry. It turned out that he considered “go ahead” as “cut the head off”. No wonder he asked me several times about it!

A 10-year-old boy decided to study Judo(柔道), although he had lost his left arm in a car accident. He began his lessons with an old Japanese Judo teacher. He was doing well, but he could not understand why the teacher had taught him only one move for quite a long time. 

     “Sir,” the boy finally said, “I think I should learn more moves.”

     “But this is the only move you will ever need to know,” the teacher answered.

Strength from weakness

       Not quite understanding, the boy kept training. Several months later, the teacher took the boy to his first tournament（联赛）. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult. However, after some time, the opponent(对手) became impatient. The boy used his one move to win the match. Now the boy was in the finals.

       This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger and more experienced. Thinking that the boy might get hurt, the referee(裁判) wanted to stop the match.

      “No,” the teacher said, “let him continue.”

       Soon his opponent made a mistake. Immediately the boy used his move to attack him. The boy won the match and became the first one.

       On the way home, the boy and the teacher reviewed every move in every match. Then the boy asked what was really on his mind. “How did I win the tournament with only one move?”

“You won for two reasons,” the teacher answered. “First, you’ve mastered(掌握) one of the most difficult moves in Judo. And second, the only known defense(防卫) for that move is to grasp（抓住） your left arm. But you’ve lost it.” The boy’s biggest weakness had become his biggest advantage.

 My dream is to go to Tsinghua University. There are top educational resources (资源), world famous teachers and excellent students in this university. If  we spend years studying there, we surely will get a good job and live a better life in the future. However, there must be a lot of challenges and difficulties on the way. So I will accept (接受) the wolf father’s strict educational style if it can really make my dream come true.

I would accept a wolf father because I really need a strict person to help me control (控制) myself. Now I am interested in playing computer games all day. And I don’t want to study. A wolf father can help me focus on my studies. I believe under his strict control I can study better and go to one of the key universities.

I will not accept a wolf father. I don’t think I can get used to his educational style. It would make me too tired to enjoy the golden moments of my childhood. Besides, entering Peking or Tsinghua University doesn’t mean that I will certainly have a bright future. I think studies should be a pleasant thing. We should study in the way that we like.
