I'm glad to be here for this interview.Firstly,let me introduce myself to you.

My name is Chen******.I was born in ****. I come from Huaiying ,a northern city in Jiangsu province.I graduated from Electrical engineering College of Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1997.And I majored in High Voltage and Insulation Technology.I hope that I could take my postgraduate courses in Shanghai Jiaotong University which I have desired for a long time.

In the past several years,I worked as a technician,and later a salesman.I learned a lot from my jobs.But sometimes I feeled that I had wasted much time which could have been used more valueablly.So I desided to go on with my study.Last year,I studied hard day and night.And now ,I am glad to have this opportunity to be interviewed by you.

I'm open-minded ,quick in thought.In my spare time ,I like reading books,doing some jogging,or searching the information which I need online.

I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he or she keeps on studying(learning).And of course,if I am given a chance to study in this famous university,I'll spare no effert to complete my postgraduate courses.

3.Reasons for my choice

There are several reasons for my desicion:

I know Shanghai jiaotong Unversity is a brother university of the one which I graduated from.And as we know ,this one is the better one to some extent.Teachers in this unversity are excellent . This is the first reason.

Secondly,Shanghai is an international city which is very modern and developped.I prefer to study here.

Finally,I think that further study is still urgent for me to realize my self-value.Life is very precious.It is important to seize any chance for self-development,especially in this competitive modern world.

That is to say,I am looking forward to making a solid foundation for my future profession after two and a half years' study here.

4.Plans in the postgraduate study

First ,I hope I can form a systematic view of  my major,and master every course which is needed for my study and research. And if possible ,I will go on with my study for doctorate degree.

Second ,I wish I can be more confident with everything I will confront after furnishing myself in the next two and a half years.

Finally,if it's possible ,I would like to have some researchs and to practice in some related company  in my postgraduate life.

5.About home town

My hometown is not very famous.But as it comes to celebrity,I would refer to HanXing a famous General in the Han Dynasty .I may say he is a great man.

My hometown is very beautiful,and people living there are very enthusiastic

6.About family

There are five members in my family:my parents ,my little brother ,my little sister,and me.

My parents are both farmers.They work in the field day after day.

　I am from Fuzhou, a famous city with a long history over 2,200 years. It is called "Rong Cheng " because there were lots of banians even 900 years ago. The city lies in the eastern part of the province. It is the center of politics, economy and culture. Many celebrities were born here, for instance, Yanfu, Xie Bingxin, Lin Zexu and so on. You know, there is a saying that "The greatness of a man lends a glory to a place". I think the city really deserves it. The top three artware are Shoushan Stone, cattle-horn combs and bodiless lacquerware. In addition, it is famous for the hot springs. Theyare known for high-quality. Visitors athome and abroad feel it comfortable bathing here.There is my beloved hometown.

三. 你的家庭（about family）

　There are four members in my family; my parents, my cute cat of 9 years old and me. My father is a technician in the Fujian TV station. He often goes out on business. So most of the housework is done by my industrious mom. Climbing at weekends is our common interest. The fresh air and natural beauty can help us get rid of tiredness. They can strengthen our relation, too. During my prepareing for coming here, my parents' love and support have always been my power. And I hope in future I will be able to repay them.
