A: Hey girls!   What are you talking about?

B: Hello, xx.  We are just discussing what we usually do with our friends.

you know ,everyone  holds different views. What  about you?

A:  well ,while being together with my friends.  we sometimes go climbing ,singing, or even just speaking.  we would share joys and sorrows with each other Besides, we also exchange what we have learned from study.

D :  that is great .then ,what kinds of people do you like to make friends with?

A: for me,I like to develop friendship with those who are optimistic and positive .cause making friends with those person make me feel comfortable.

B: in my opinion,generous and good-tempered person are easy to get along with.. they can tolerate most of my shortcomings and help me whenever I need .  

C: actually, people seem to have a very thin understanding of what friendship really means. According to Aristotle, he believed utility, pleasure, and goodness are the foundation of friendship 

D: yeah! People who are elder usually pay more attention to usefulness.  the elderly can even make friends with those they donot like ,just because the persons can benefit from each other to some extent. Once the ground for friendship disappears ,the friendship also break.

B:  And young people like us prefer to make friend with those they are interested in based on pleasure. They may indulge in crushing with somebody. For example ,they may fancy for the color of their eyes, the shape of their moustaches or just the way we walk. Their lives are regulated by feelings and interest. It just a short time of crush.  As they grow up, their tastes change too. So they are quite to make and to break friendship

C:it is true .and I think permanent friendship exists only between good  men. Since   true friends appreciate each other’s goodness and help each other to pursure what is morally right or worthy of praise, they will find the relationship most pleasurable  and rewarding. In a friendship between good people ,one values the other not just for material benefits or pleasure but for each other’ morally excellence.

F: besides, virtuous friends are bound together and have gone through trials tribulation together ,so their friendship lasts longer than others. It is the good qualities in virtuous friends that make permanent friendship possible

E : and according to another classical view of Ciceco ,true friendship is only possible between good men the friendship between  good men, based on virtue, dose offer material benefits ,but it dose not seek them. All human beings are bound together in a community of shared reason. Therefore, in friendship and  relationships, those who possess any superiority must regard themselves as equals of those who are less fortunate.

To perceive a friend is to perceive oneself. Each can be said to provide a mirror in which the other may see himself.

F: Thus ,we may see that the traditional idea of friendship is made up of three components: friends must enjoy each other’s company; they must be useful to one  another; and they must share a commitment to the good.

D no two persons can accept each other and become friends until each has proved to the other that he is worthy of love ,and won his trust .the wish for friendship may develop rapidly, but true friendship dose not .

B: No one can sail the ocean of life single handed. We need help from, and also give help to, others. In the modern age, people attach more importance to relations and connections.

E:The term, friend, covers a wide range of raeanings. It can be a nodding acquaintance, a comrade, a confident, a partner, a playmate, a brother, an intimate etc. 

F:As life is full of strife and conflict, we need friends to support and help as out of difficulties. Our frinods give us warnings against danger. True friends share not only joy but, more often than not, they share sorrow. 

With friendship, life is happy and harmonious. Without friendship, life is hostile and unfortunate. I have friends in the rank and file. Some are rich and in power. Some are low and common. Some are like myself, working as a teacher, reading and writing and content with the simple life we have. 

To many of my friends, I know what to treasure, what to tolerate and what to share, I will never forget my old friends and keep making new friends. I will not he cold and indifferent to the poor friends and will show concern for them, even if it is only a comforting word Friendship is to our life what salt is to dishes. 

When you are happy, friendship is just like adding flowers on the brocade; when you are sad, friendship is a dose of consolation; if you are in trouble, friends will surround you and remove the barriers for you; if you have a hard nut to crack, you can turn to friends for help. 

We admire the great friendship between Marx and Engel, which firmly combined them and pushed them forward on the road to exploring and fulfilling Communism.
