eFront Enterprise™ introduces the concept of the branch, as a means to handle (represent) the enterprise organization. Besides the standard way to represent the structure of the enterprise (organization) in terms of hierarchy or rank, the branch allows for flexibility as it may refer to a building, to any department located within this building, to any division within a department or to a group within a division. Moreover the notion (concept) of the parent branch allows for creating associations with existing structures in the organizational chart (hierarchy).

4. Assignment of job descriptions to eFront users
The eFront Enterprise™ edition provides means for creating job descriptions. Afterwards you can assign employees to job descriptions and assign lessons and courses to them through their job description.

Educational eFront has been extended so that organizational roles may be assigned to users. The approach simulates the enterprise’s personnel hierarchy, by defining branch supervisors and employees. This extends the traditional role hierarchy of educational eFront (administrators – professors – students) to a second level: administrators – branch supervisors and branch employees. Branch supervisors bear increased management rights over their colleagues.

10. Job description correlation with the educational process
A most important feature of eFront Enterprise™ is the automatic assignment - registration of employees to educational - training material: lessons, courses according to the job descriptions they are assigned.
The created job descriptions may be related to appropriate educational - training content. By assigning employees to a job description, they are assigned with lessons and / or courses suitable to their job description. Therefore, all users with job description “Secretary” may be automatically registered to the “Office” lesson, which is evidently associated with their role in the company.

Supervisors are allowed (if this may be the enterprises’ policy) to set evaluations for the employees of their branches. These evaluations and the corresponding employee results may be visible to any one above these employees in the company’s managerial hierarchy. Thus the management is provided with a thorough and complete picture (description) of each employee - eFront user, as defined by his or her supervisors.
12. Employee history record
eFront Enterprise™ keeps a history record of all employee related events: since the employee – eFront user entered the system for the first time, to when his/her job description was changed, or his/her salary was increased or his/her skillset was improvingly enhanced. In this way, the employees’ managers can monitor easily and without waste of time each employee’s record and identify perspectives, needs or opportunities for his/her further improvement and development within the company.

15. Increased communication features
eFront Enterprise™ extends the traditional user-friendly educational eFront messaging system, so that all the above described organizational features are taken into account. eFront users may therefore exchange messages or emails according to the position they bear within the organization, the branch they work in or some particular skill they might have. These possibilities, allow for an explicit rather than a latent communication channel, deep and organizationally diffused within the company.
