| 选题的意义及研究状况： In fact, Diogenes and Alexander attracted me first and therefore I started to find more materials about Cynicism. However, with the development of the times, the meanings and influences of Cynicism have already changed a lot. As a result, how to judge and exploit Cynicism into our modern social life seems very important for us. Many people have already spent years researching this philosophy (or we c-an say attitude) in different concrete aspects, such as Cynicism and Postmodernity , mass media and modern Cynicism . But I want to contrast the classical Cynicism with the modern one from a macroscopic perspective and demonstrate the value of classical and modern Cynicism in our social life. | |||

PART II Differences on Meanings (between classical and modern Cynicism） 1. The changes on the intrinsic meaning 2. The changes on the outward manifestation PART III Differences on Influences (between classical and modern Cynicism) 1. For common people 2. For one country (politics) PART IV Conclusion 1.The value of classical and modern Cynicism ( the defects will be mentioned too, but in my essay I would like to show more about its benefits) 2.How to apply Cynicism to our social life Research method and ideas: The topic is analyzed and discussed in this thesis by the study of literature and comprehensive analysis. I adopt documentation method and descriptive method. The value of classical and modern Cynicism in the modern society can be proved is my expectation. Cynicism is seeming misanthropic but virtual significant.
